Then buy 5 x electronic gear mods (the purple ones) with Damage to Elites 4%.
Then buy 4 x prototype gear mods with Seeker Mine damage 4%. Search LZ and DZ vendors, they have them almost every week.
Finally, use Seeker Mine and the Turrent as main skills, with the Shrapnel and Chain Reaction talents (very important). The other two can be Demolition Expert and Strike Back.
This is, in my opinion, the strongest PVE build in the game, and you'll be able to even do legendary missions solo, with just a few more teaks and tricks.
I'll be happy to help, free free to add me on steam.
I'm really just looking for a build, not so much what gear I should eventually get. I mean yeah sure that's nice as bonus info, but not anything that's really achievable at this point for me :)
This is what's fun about this game. It's not for everybody, but I sure enjoy it.
'Builds' are something you do at endgame more than while leveling. Just use the best pieces in your inv as you play through :)
I take the turret and the med station myself. Med station can pick you up when you go down so its sort of like having a team mate with you.
Sorry i missunderstood what builds ment then :)

or you can search on google / youtube for the division builds, guides, weapon talents etc, but is better to start playing the game to help you understand it a bit, then you will know what to ask or search exactly if you need more help. There's too much stuff to explain to someone who didn't even played the first part of the game at least, and you will not be able to understand so easy.
I've found Nomad easier to survive with when I was new to this game and solo-ing. Then Striker, D3... depending on your playstyle...

Thanks all the same though. I guess I'll just have to start it and find out if I'll be able to complete the story mode by winging it.
From your posts it sounds like you think theres something more to a build than gear and weapons. Theres the 2 abilities you can slot.... but no sort of character progression or anything like that.
Your gear and weapons pretty much are your 'build' its not like an rpg with a skills tree that you keep expanding on. You pick two abilities that you can swap out anytime but thats it. All the stats we manipulate to make us or our 2 abilities perform better reside on the gear and weapons
While you level it will go like this...
Ohhh a nice lvl 5 gear piece il wear this
Does next mission
Damit now im lvl 7
Ohh a nice lvl 7 piece
Does next mission
Damit now im lvl 9...
So while you level its almost impossible to think in terms of a build. Your just using the pieces that best match your lvl and swapping them out every two mins. Only when you hit lvl 30 and that stops can you start to think about keeping stuff
When people show a light zone build or a dark zone build I would assume they are talking about builda for level 30 world tier 5 boss hunting/pvp :)
Yes I get that. That's how it works with pretty much every game. It seems I wasn't making it clear enough I guess.
I was specifically asking what would be the best to choose build wise, not gear, but actual skills. Here's the skill screen: https://i.imgur.com/dYPaDLG.jpg. Which are most optimal, and what modifications should be taken to make the journey a lot easier for a solo dude.
And what about the best talents for a solo campaign run, and what perks should I take.
I don't mean to be an ass, but I don't think I can make myself any clearer on what I'm looking for than this :)
@JFC4891
Thanks for the offer, but our play times wouldn't be compatible (I'm from europe, and you're from the states), and I want to see if I can't do this thing solo at a casual pace. At least to begin with. I do appreciate the offer of coop though.
