After looking at the new gear sets, the nomad set, is close to worthless.
The nomad set is supposed to be the solo/darkzone set

After looking at it, I do not see how it holds a candle to any of the other sets, if they are set up properly, that 10 minute anti-death thing, really isnt all that great, you can last a very long time with proper cooldown usage and stating of your character in a PVP battle. The other 2 set bonuses are not really that great for solo/darkzone work ether, Scavanging caps at 150% from what I have seen in the Darkzone and health on kill, requires you to actually kill another player first. I was expecting much more in the realm of survivablity for PVP on the so called "darkzone" set.

Maybe they were afriad that after people have already become near unkillable tanks in PVP, that it would become completely unkillable tanks in PVP. That is the only reasonable explanation for it.

Looking at it, I feel like the design is more of entry level for new Dark Zone players. Then again if people getting this stuff is capable of beating the hard/challenge mode of the new area then it will become more of novelty rather than being that "end game gear." If you can get the pieces that are similar or better than the one you're using now then great.

Pretty sure everyone will go for striker anyway
Bullymays Apr 8, 2016 @ 5:07pm
Pretty much 97% of people will be running around with 3 pieces of striker and 2 of marksman.

Actually, it really depends on what the actual stats of the gear are. I wouldn't waste 3 pieces of gear for that 100% crit if there are literally no stats on the gear. You can already get close to that with a pulse to be wasting 3 pieces.

If these all have pretty inferior stats, I don't see anyone using any of them.

Won't you need all the same set to get the set bonus?

3 striker + 3 markman = GG

every one is going to be running with the striker 4p set and an SMG...

Most people can pretty much land their entire magazine's worth of rounds into a target with the SMG up to medium range consistantly... and now there is a set which not only empowers that aspect, but rewards it?

I can't be the only one that see's how potentially broken that set is going to be.... Right?

throw in Sentry's call 2p, and you just have runaway stupid damage adding up.

I thought the exact same thing... :-(

unless the items for each set are in different slots you wont be able to mix them up only possibility is 2 of one and 2 of another

Lmao, again these developers come up with bonuses and stats that look straight out of a toddler's mind. 100% critical damage increase? When you reach 0HP you heal back to full? 30% more headshot damage + 15% damage, and up to 45%, for every headshot?
What the ♥♥♥♥ are these people smoking. These are insanely overpowered in PvP.

Just goes to show all the idiots crying that Ubi/Massive is cathering to the PvPrs and wanting to funel people into the DZ that it is obviously not their intent. All of these sets are going to be ridiculously broken in PvE mostly, they will make already trivial content into a straight up joke; PvP will suffer and suck but not as much as seeing groups beat Lex Event Center even faster than the current 15-20 mins. Everytime you have someone with a gear set in your party you can just sit back, relax and watch him go beat up a million mobs without a sweat.

Both DZ and PvE outbounds are going to get ridiculous the moment you start seeing people in full sets.

On another note, There seems to be a dilema about which of the DPS sets is going to be better overall, even with SMG/MR builds it's hard to say if Strikers will end up being better than Sentry's in the long run, and vice versa. (Maybe if you are not stacking crit and playing SMG you are better off with Sentry's, but if playing both those weapon options it seems hard to tell)

3 striker 2 sentry. 100% crit dmg with 20% head dmg. with SMG, its gonna rekt any tank build that I am...

I think PVP mode very deep theme of the game, end of the sense of crisis, people will kill each other removed rare equipment, so systemic heart into playing this kind of role will be very interesting, remain vigilant and have some understanding of their own equipment.

"+Exp% on Kill" applies to killing NPCs, so why wouldn't "+20% Health on Kill" also apply to killing NPCs? They are worded the same, so they should apply the same. I see the Path of the Nomad as a viable option for exactly what it's named after, a nomad. A player who is constantly on the move, looting and killing NPCs. Not all gear sets have to be a viable PvP option to be useful.
