is there a co-op mode?

I am finding it really difficult to tell if there is a co-op mode or not. The official page makes no mention of it, all the discussions are from back before it came out. Does the co-op mode work? I want to play with my wife

There is not a co-op mode but you can team-up via the multiplayer in the game. You will have to coordinate with each other on side missions and story missions because the game really isn't very multiplayer friendly in that regard. Also, if you want to play with each other, try not to out level each other because the game doesn't compensate for that at all.

Yes the game has Co Op.
You can play thru the hole campaign with your wife + other missions and Darkzone.

you can play together but do not play alone when your partner is offline. that would create a gap between you and your teammate that can be hard to overcome for the lower player.
up to 5 levels can be ok if the lower player likes to hurt him/her-self.

fwiw - my wife and I are enjoying it immensly. We just got out of New Jersey to Manhatten. Looks like it will be a lot of fun.

It is enjoyable as a coop, i have been playing coop for a while and really enjoy it (just had a blast trying out matchmaking with 4 of us)...enjoy the trip in Manhatten!
