Fastest Place to Farm 229 Weapon?

I've gleaned a fair few 229's from there including G36.

been doing that but feels like there are still other ways to get it faster than underground....

DZ, UG, incursions. I have yet to get a 229 weapon from heroic story missions.

Underground a good place to farm? 5-10 minutes for 3 items at best, what a farm.

there is only one real place to farm and it is used as a pvp zone.
take the risk and frustration and enter the DZ, run between innactive landmarks and empty boss zones, get shot a few times, maybe have a few extractions and pray to the gods of RNG that it was worth it.

Did a 3 hr. run in the DZ yesterday and i still get a freaking 182 MIDAS. and that is one of 5 weapon drops from the total 3 hr run. Bad luck i guess?

you should go into the higher DZ zones (not bracket), if you farm in DZ05 or 06 you might get better drops but it's not a 100% sure that you will get them either.

it is still better than the underground (time vs drops) apart from the cache's that will give you blind/firecrest 90% of the time.

Patch 1.2 I would agree. Since 1.3 it was 3 hrs for 5 weapon drops........I guess my RNG is not allowing me to go into DZ.

That is what i've been doing but I was thinking that there should be a faster way to do it than that but I guess that's is the way I guess...?

5 weapons in 3 hours in DZ means you have either incredibly bad luck, or are doing something wrong.

Usually half my extracted gear is weapons since 1.3 ... And I extract maybe 60/70 items in 2 hours with random groups.

Regardless of your bracket, you should be playing in DZ 5/6, as it gives better GS gear. For example, if you are in bracket 201/230, it's guaranteed 204/240 with chances for 229/268. In contrast, DZ 3/4 gives 182/214 with chances for 204/240.

There's 6 bosses to kill that respawn every 10 minutes and 8 chests that respawn evey hour.

Farmed DZ 06 with a group yesterday had tons of 229's not to meantion tons of Set sealed caches( usually 268 gear)

I'm going to say that for the DZ, it depends on the Zone. I've had a few high GS items drop in the lower DZ areas before.

BUt to say the DZ is the fastest way to get loot, is a double edged sword. It has the possiblilty to give you gear faster if you extract the items before you get ganked or cut the rope.

Best and fastets way to get a diverse variety of loot is STILL in the DZ.

Converesely, I get 1x 229 every 1-2 hours doing Heroic Underground....that's if I don't get one shot out of no where and that run is over. Or even better get 163s for all that effort instead.

Such balance, who needs it.

W/e, Massive openly admitted they made the DZ this way to try to force players into there.

And to hell with that.
