What gear set is the best for a sniper player?

When 1.1 was released I saw that the Sentry gear was the best for a sniper player. After 1.2 there are new gear sets. I wonder if the Sentry is still the best or if any of the new ones are better? Do I choose 4 gears from the same set or all 6? Is a mix from different gear sets the best? Which ones would you then recommend? I really need some help sorting this out so every help would be most appreciated.

For a sniper, I would say 4 pieces of Sentry so you can get the Stalker talent, which increases the damage inflicted on the target by 15% for a duration of 10 seconds each, up to 3 marked. In addition, with the +30% headshot damage and +20% damage to elites.

And maybe Hunters Faith for the last two pieces, which will give you +20% Marksman Rifle critical hit damage. This is just my opinion and suggestion.

what obey said, then further try to get critical hit damage or damage if you use a semi auto
and also a tip if your about to snipe somebody use explosive bullets and the scan that increases crit damage. if your sniper damage is high anough expect 1 hit kills... [with the m44 its possible]

Thanks guys. I'll try that. I'm using a M44 and a Midas. During missions I've got 4 pieces of Lone star but that's not a sniper build as I understand it? I wish there was a way you could trade one gear set for another. Then I would trade my Lone Star set to Sentry.

4 Sentrys seems to be the best choice.
