Week 1 you started a new character at lvl 30 to test the GS pr0gression through all the GS tiers. Introduction of the new World Tier mechanic, set changes, gear drops ect.
Week 2 Reset and you can play a copy of your live server character, and progress. You will NOT be allowed to transfer this to live. You will lose the pregression if they reset this character in week three. You can start a new lvl 30 character in PTS by creating a new character as in the PTS before should you not yet have a lvl 30.
but do you have a different character in pts or is it the same character from your main game
it will be reset when they need to reset it for testing.
it looks and plays like your main character but any progress made will be reset at some point.
It copies of all of you characters onto the PTS, even those that are not yet 30, with their progression. All their gear is reworked to fit the new game (GS changes and gear bonus changes) and the changes to gear sets. Any new character created on the PTS starts at lvl 30 with the purple gear (GS131 if i remember correctly).
Game isn't at it's death bed and I'm encouraged by Massive's attitude towards it's player base and it's opening up a test server for feed back. They could have done this all in house or not done it serperately from the content addition, which would have been a nightmare. Be thankful with what Massive have done and enjoy the game. If you don't like it then leave it be for those of us who do.
