yesterday i was minding my own business and had a great time,SUDDENLY these three guys out from nowhere started shooting at me and started chasing me around,
one of them didnt shoot me so when i shot back -I- became a rogue agent too, which meant that they got even more loot from me when they caught up with me.really takes the fun out
i mean suuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuure if someone did it now and then but i have played it since only a few days and already it has happened 10 times
I guess you cant accept the fact that the DZ is open world pvp and when you enter it, you consent to being killed by ayone at any time reguardless of reason. They are playing the game how its ment to be played, you are not and thats why you have an issue with it. You dont have to activly pvp, but you do have to defend yourself of you are attacked. If you cant be constantly aware of your surroundings, thats your problem, not the games or other players. Your an easy target. My friends and I always loved killing people like you.
OP, watch youtube video's. read forums. Look at what other people do. Some tips are, if people are around you, always assume they are hunting you, skip npc's and go to another group of them if people are around you. Always keep an eye on whats going on around you even in combat, you have cover and can make time to look around without getting killed by npc's. Pulse is required in the DZ, everyone else will be using it, dont handicap yourself letting everyone know where you are and never know where everyone else is. When you extract, call it, run off a ways untill the heli its 20 seconds out, pluse to see if people showed up, if not, extract, if they did, run to another one. The mistake people like His Divine Shadow makes is they assume if people who arnt currently rogue, then they wont go rogue and they play the game like pvp doesnt exsist. Then they get killed and some how its the games fault and those players are horrible people when they are just simply playing the game. If you dont know they are, they are a rogue player, they just dont have rogue status. Everyone is there to kill you, even if they arnt heavy pvpers, they will still attack you becuase you are alone and an easy target. Avoid everyone, even if they are nice to you, if someone helps you, thank them and move on. When friends and I play, if we saw somene with no loot having trouble, we helped them out because why kill them for a small amount of credits, have rogue status and half to stop what were are doing when we can let that person farm some gear, then kill him. 90% of pvp in the darkzone is opretunity, there are few groups who go there just to pvp endlessly. If you run into those, trying to swap your instance is the best soultion. But as far as most pvper's, they saw an opretunity of an easy kill and easy escape. While avoiding everyone is best, dont isolate yourself either, if you are completely alone, another player will see that they can get away with killing you, when i solo pvp'd thats all i did, i looked for isolated players and assassinated them. No one was around to engage me that player couldnt run to anyone for help. Even rogue pvper's who arnt currently rogue will stop what they are doing and hunt a nearby rogue, we dont like competition killing out targets. Plus its alot easier to track a rogue than a non rogue, pvp is pvp reguardless of rogue status, and anything that makes killing someone easier is bonus.
Basically, keep your back to a wall, maintain 100% situational awarness, dont get greedy, and trust no one.
never read something more bs than that tbh. how can you be aware of your surroundings for 100%? there is pve what distracts you and other players can see you from a far distance before you even realize you are targeted by them.
also did you just confirm what i was thinking when i got killed the 5th time by a much higher dz rank rogue. you are hunting for easy targets. you see someone who is distracted, go rogue and farm him down. pretty nice attitude. why bother with equal skilled players when you can hunt noobs?! you disgust me seriously.
imo they need to change things and i realize that even after a few hours of going into dz. my suggestion: certain dz areas should match with your dz rank so level 99 players for example are only allowed to go to the last two areas or something where they only meet equal skilled and equipped players like them.
also how should you improve your gear and pvp skill when you are literally onehit by these people and cant get your loot extracted because they camp the extraction points and then your dropped loot?!
just read a bit more of your comment (Serangel).
"When friends and I play, if we saw somene with no loot having trouble, we helped them out because why kill them for a small amount of credits, have rogue status and half to stop what were are doing when we can let that person farm some gear, then kill him."
again....you disgust me.
its definitely not the intention of the developers that you cant farm in dz when you are kinda new to the game and dont have any friends playing this game.
its kinda like in every game. if you play it right from the release you have a huge bonus over player who started maybe a year later or even longer. dunno why the game designers arent aware of the many downsides of this concept.
kinda regretting already that i bought this game plus the season pass and i probably wont suggest this game to other people i know until something changes.
NPC's are easy to kill, they are dumb and weak compared to players, keeping an eye out on your surroundings is a non factor when fighting them. Im far from being the best pvper in the world, but even I can do that much. If someone cant, its their problem and not the games.
Its funny that you bring up DZ rank as it literally means nothing. You can be rank 1 and still be in full 291 class gear and kill any rank 99. DZ rank gives you no advantage in pvp what so ever.
A target is a target, im not going to stop and ask him how good he is at pvp. Im just going to kill him or get killed. Its pvp, thats how it works.
You can be disgusted all you want, if you enter a pvp zone, expect pvp. You can rationalize your opinion on what you beleive the DZ should be all you want. It still doesnt change the fact it's a pvp enabled area and players have the choice if the they want to go rogue or not. Players also have the choice if not entering the DZ if they dont wish to have anything to do with pvp.
If you just stroll into the DZ thinking your going to farm NPC's, meet a bunch of friendlies, and roast marshmellows while exchanging care bear stares, you've got the wrong idea. Not saying it won't happen, I met some of my friends on UPlay dueling and chatting on mic. But the majority of them came from Resistance/Survival PvE.
Join and friend to get on a new server , yes the dz will be hard. But there will be times where you are on a quiet server and others are just here to farm , watch on your screen where the rouge kills are happening then move away and stay low if they are near you , if you have a farming route learn how to change it on the fly to keep away from rogue activity
