Getting Classified gear during Global Event
Good evening everybody,

im struggeling to farm classified gear for a week now. I played about 30 hours since global event has started. Is it possible or does anyone else has the same presumption, that no classified gear is dropping during global events?

I started playing the division a month ago, so im not that experienced.

Thank you

IDK, you get guarenteed Classy if you do the GE. Run missions, get GE$, go to the BOO and buy GE boxes of the gear you want and bam, Classy gear.

Global Event caches are obviously the easiest way but you can only get the ones on offer for that event, even from the cheaper random cache.

I've found the most sure way to get a lot of classified and exotics is to kill the named elites with static spawn points. Every time I do a Named run I get 1-3 of them. It's meant to be something like 12% chance of getting a classified (6%) or exotic (6%) for each one you kill so it's possible to be unlucky and not get any on a single run. There's 15 to kill and you can go round and kill them all again every 4 hours. It is highly likely you will get at least 1 drop each time you do it.

Here's a map of the spawn points (ignore the dark zone):

(Strings is on the train tracks, Fumes is underground in the subway and you can get to him easily from the underground Safe house near him by using the North exit and going through a door on the left before taking the last ladder up to street level)

Once you've done it a few times you won't need the map, know exactly where they spawn when you get near and can do it a lot faster.

You can still get the usual classified drops during a Global Event. The event doesn't change how the drops normally work.

As Fandragon said, during GE, when you finished a mission it will reward you with the GE credits (pink). You should go back to the terminal and buy the GE cache, it will give you classified gears.

GE does not mean a higher chance of dropping classified gears, but rather giving you the ability to farm them.

Next global event will be sometime around 17 may.

Ok, thank you for your reply 😊
So it is a big coincidence.
Like i mentioned, i was struggling to get any classified gear during the ge, not a single one even in the dark zone. The night after the event i got two of them in just an hour during boss farming in the single player zone.
The gear sold during this event was not interesting for me😊

100 Field Proficiency cache. During Yuletide 17%.
100 Field Proficiency cache 2 weeks ago. 9%
Players that have not done a global event before should 100% watch some videos on it. Basically you farm Global Event credits by playing missions.. then you buy GE cashes at the vendor in the lower level of the Base of Operations (the terminal). keep the classified gear you want. repeat. Remember you have a 10k limit for GE credits in your wallet. We are in the "Assault" GE now. You can read about how that works where you buy GE credits.
