I've also had this problem since the new update, Static audio over all the Sound and Sped up convesations like chipmonks. Its very annoying and would love to get a fix for it.
But we have a potential workaround for the time being:
Potential Workaround: Changing the windows sample rate may resolve the issue. To do so, follow these steps:
- Right click your windows volume icon and open the Playback tab.
- Right click on your active device and go to properties.
- In the properties tab, go to Advanced and change the "default format". Change this value.
Let us know if this helps.
Lowering it from 192000 to 96000 actually did get rid of the "scratchy chipmunk", thanks for addressing this, and giving us a workaround for the time being. :)
I am having this issue also. No sound coming from running and when jumping onto or over cover and buildings ect.
Running 2 GTX 980's in SLI on Windows 7.
