Need Advice for Medic Build
I'm playing with a single friend. I want to be a medic, but I'd like to be able to do decent damage as well. He is just using marksman rifles and without really even focusing on firearms skills, seems to get all the kills quickly, while I seemed to scratch them with LMGs, and even shotguns fairly close.

Is it possible to do decent damage while trying to be a medic? What weapons should I focus on? Should I be trying to get all my stats into tech since I'm a medic, or focus on other things as well?

Medic? Please be a tank first, dead can't heal anything. We don't need you to kill anything.
Just keep yourself safe and then keep other alive.

Sniper medic is a good build. I run a paramedic, she use MMR and SMG. Focus on Tech and Tankyness. every teamates should contribute to DMG of course, but your priority is to keep other healthy and buffed. But yes you still can do decent damage.

Don't expect to be a medic, as there aren't really any type of classes - everyone is DPS for the most part. You may have healing skills, but your primary responsibility will be shooting bad guys, not healing your friend...

Having said that, the exception is if you're running incursions or doing 4-man PVP team - then you could be a "medic" (using specific gear sets like above). But for the most part, at level 30 - being a healer is pretty much pointless.

There are some gear sets at level 30 that will help with healing - but for the most part, try and get around 200,000 to 250,000 skill power - and you'll provide some good healing support.

I co-op with a friend - and my skill power is around 75000 - it's enough to keep me alive and give him a bit of support; but I find mowing down badguys much better. And I use an M60 - which is among the best weapons - especially with the right gear sets and weapon talents.

the sp stacked healer is a real thing and many ways to gear toward it.

you need a minimum of about 2324 firearms to fully enable 229 weaps with the right rolls for self preserved. stack for crit chance to max the + heal rate.

solo survivability when fighting in a +4000hp/s overdosing immune/revive healing field is strongly enhanced.

ive experimented up to 130k+ electronics all the time tac3fm2+overheal chest plate.

booster shot. tech support. on the move. precision. tac link.

4 x performance mods with +7.5% support station range/duration + high skill power = big long lasting green field.

four 229gs tacs fighting inside a 8000 to 16000 hp/s healing immune revive overdosing field would be tough.

+ deadly crowd control explosives.
