At least Steam has its perks for those who likes to own Ubisoft games on Steam, Epic has non and there are actually talks on the internet says Epic has security issues.
My personal advice: forget about Epic and buy directly from Uplay.
Like AMR said above, you still need uplay launcher and if bought on epic, you need too run both launchers.
You can't use the 20% discount on pre-orders.
yes you can ... at least thats how it worked for me
Guess I misunderstood their website:
QUESTION:
Are there any limitations with my Ubisoft Club 20% Discount code?
ANSWER:
This promo code can only be redeemed once and will only work on one order.
Please note that this code cannot be applied to pre-orders/pre-purchases, in-game currency, newly released titles, or items under the clearance category.
A game is no longer considered newly released three months after the official launch date.

He can use the 20% on Div 2 but you can't.
Get it on Uplay, no reason at all to get it on epic store as you will need to use the uplay client no matter what to play the game.
