Weren't Underground Hunters supposed to drop Exotics?

I've killed quite a few hunters since I started playing again a week or so ago. Call it a dozen or so groups. Not a single one has dropped an Exotic item for me at all. I remember the developers took Vendor Exotics out of the drop tables, but Underground bosses kept dropping them. Then a few patches later, Vendor Exotics were taken away from Underground bosses... And I've not received a single Exotic from them whatsoever since.

Is this a bug? Have I just been unlucky? Are there specific circumstances under which Hunters will drop exotics? I distinctly remember them dropping one every time I killed them back in the day.

The hunter's don't drop exotic's all the time ,I find a 3 phase incursion set on hard you get exctic's this doesn't happen all the time either, everything is random, after I think 200 hunter kills you get a mask .

I did, finally, get an exotic from Hunters yesterday. Another sodding AA12, forget what it's called exactly. So they still drop, apparently, just no longer all the time. I've killed plenty of Hunters who've dropped nothing more interesting than non-Classified set pieces. I guess they too were set to the standard 3% for named bosses, or? I remember them having much better loot.

I felt that underground isn't really a good place to farm exotic or classfied gears, if u really want exotic, do incursions or legendary missions. They guarantee you an exotic as long as u run heroic or legendary. I recommend trying out incursions first since it's easier, once you're build is more solid try go for legendary missions. These missions are really good to train you to beat other end game content as they're the toughest ones. Once you're done with these(probably in 3 weeks time) you can move to infinite mode to farm classfied gears. Good luck.

About exos and classifieds. From my experience, at Amherst's, the hunter drops every time an exotic item, there is in incursions, legendarys and heroic a high chance of class., but no guarantee.

Legendary missions drop exotics and bosses in the open world and DZ drop them every now and then. As for the bosses it's the RNG that decides whether you get it or not.

I'm not farming for exotics and I'm not looking for better ways to do it. I was specifically asking about Hunters in the Underground and what they're intended to drop. Previously, every Hunter group I've killed has given me an Exotic. Recently, that has not been the case. Has anything changed about their drop rates in recent weeks, or was I just lucky previously?

nah, it's still random. It's just that hunters have higher chances of getting one.

Understood. So I was just lucky in the past, then. Do you know the Exotic chance drop for Hunters in the Underground off the top of your head? Just so I can stay informed.

Not too sure, but in 1.8 it's 12%
