Is it worth playing without any DLC

As title states. I dont own Last Stand or Survival and im getting to the level where PvP is about to be a thing.
So, is PvP fun without DLC or should i pick up the DLC or one of the DLC's

If so, which DLC should i focus on picking up?

It's fun, but you'll have a harder time getting good stuff without the DLCs. The season pass is on sale on UPlay rn (around $8)

You don't need DLC to get BIS gear, and you don't need to PvP either for that matter.

no, but i think in the dlcs you have easier access to some OP stuff.
you have to play pretty much the whole campaign before youre even allowed in the DLC areas.
ive not played them yet.

Underground is a really good tool for pushing through all the world tiers quickly so you can access the end-game (classifieds and exotics) more quickly. Survival is probably my favourite game mode because of how tense it is. I just wish that it had separate PvP modes for singles, doubles, etc. to stop gank squads. Last Stand is the PvP mode, but it doesn't seem to ever be populated. I've been trying to get rid of the mission for playing it for months and haven't been able to get into a match.

But to answer your question, the game is definitely worth playing without the DLC, although the mid-game will probably get really repetitive if you don't grab Underground since you'll just be doing all the story missions again.

You do not need the DLCs to get good weapons or gear. I have a ton of stuff that I have got without ever playing the DLCs, but I do have them, and I do as little DZ as possible because personally, I do not think the rewards are that great. This only my opinion.

The DLC just open a few extra game modes, while they are good, they arnt nessesary. Nothing is locked behind the DLC except for the mode itself and a few cosmetics specific to that DLC.
