Skills wise, I'm guessing Smart cover/Pulse and Booster Shot/support station.
Also if you just want to spam skills, I would take Coolheaded or that talent that gives you reduced skill Coolddown for crit hits, over Prepared. Or you could change out Deadly for compatent to go with Coolheaded because you plan on spamming skills also.
My current talent on it is Unforgiving. Any good?
And how does the set predator work with the passive? Does it also, after 10 shots, deal another 50% on those explosions?
Unforgiving is a very situational talent. But it's not a bad talent to have if you want to have that in addition. BUt remember, you get a bonus for being damaged with that weapon talent. But I think it works best with weapons that you are gonna be upclose with like smg, ar, and shotgun. That's just my opinion with that talent.
I dunno how pred works to be honest. I haven't been playing the game as much as when I first started. It would probaby work to be honest. But the set isn't really...tuned for the sniper.
For your predator question, no, the explosions arnt calculated in preds bleed, only the shots are. Honestly though, a marksman isnt going to do well with predator. It has no bonuses for it and the 6 set is taliored for stamina. The AR and SMG damage bonus helps make up for the low firearms that pred has. Not to mention the historians talent is based off firearms.
Like dark said, dead eye is a better set to use historian with, also sentrys' call, but to tell you the truth there are better options out there such as the devils heel set or even just using highend m700, the historian is really just not a good weapon.
Ah, what? You should look at what hunters fait does again.
If you want to use pred for pvp, thats perfectly fine, but you'll need an assault rifle and/or SMG. Unforgiving, responsive, and deadly are good talents to go with. The Bullfrog is also a good AR to go with for pvp.
Predators mark, strikers, nomad are the current top teir pvp sets. D3, final measure, reclaimer are also good sets for group pvp. I have also seen player niche solo with full damage hunters faith but its more gimick than actual pvp.
Critical hit damage on the scope and suppressor.
Weapon Talents.
Proficient: The first Bullet shot when out of combat has 50% bonus chance to result in a critical hit.
Disciplined: Killing a target will make your next shot a critical hit.
When you approach a mob, shoot the first one in the head and he should die with the 50% bonus crit chance from Proficient, crit damage mods on the weapon , native headshot damage and the bonus damage from History Repeats. After that Disciplined takes over for a constant stream of one shot critical hit kills.
Its Fun.
