The division 2 stutter and 100% cpu usage

Hello, recently bought the division 2, and runs fairly well but get stuttering every few seconds,
Dont have a top spec pc have
I5 4440
Zotac geoforce gtx 950 2gb over clocked
8gb of ram

I'm aware there has been a problem with stuttering on the i5 with this game, anyone know a way to make it at least playable, I'm aware I want get the best graphics settings just want the stuttering to stop even get it will lowest possible settings

Hmmm, try epic forum. There's only division 1 here, and division 2 has exclusivity deal. Ask in their respective store or developer website

Yeah I'm aware the division 2 isn't on here, just posted as had a lot of good help from steam users about other ubi related games which are on here, I'll try the ubi forums thanks

Seems like people on here have more to say about you buying it on EPIC than actually helping out a fellow gamer. Ignore them. -_-. I am a steam fan boy but understand you can't get every game on here so sometimes you have to go elsewhere. No need to be rude about it.


For some reason most people have this problem with Ubisoft games. I have an i7 4790k running at 4.8ghz and my ncpu is ALWAYS at 100% with most new ubisoft games. It's somthing to do with them supposedly putting too much onto one core (don't know if thats true but thats what most say). Sadly, there isn't any way around this at the moment..

Now, there is a work around for a few games that have poorly CPU optimisation OR for games that just stutter randomly but you may have to do the legwork on this one and find out how/if you can do it with Div 2.

First of all google BES – Battle Encoder Shirasé and download and install it. Then watch this video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bZMOtWWc36A and do that BUT for div 2.

It MAY not work but at least it's worth a try. I hope it helps in some way. It did for me with assassin's creed odyssey.

Thank you for the replys, I'm still pretty new to pc gaming, and this is my first pc so didnt wanna go all out on it you know, actually looking to get an i7 4790 and rx580 8gb, 1tb ssd and also 16gb of ram next month hoping this will help out with the newer titles, I'll give that fix a try and let you know if it helps

I mean I didnt know about all this I just wanted a decent looter shooter, and I trust ubi over EA anyday

I have that CPU and its pretty damn good lol but is on the very verge of feeling it's age. However, it'll still be a great CPU for some time yet. Nice choice :D

Reduce your graphic-settings completly and ramp them up carefully.

Also use the latest Studio Driver from Nvidia and de/install with DDU in safe mode. - Watch the instructions for that procedure precisely!


I played the game for several months at max with DX12. It's fun but still a work in progress.

There were several updates recently especially for the Holiday "Apparel Event:Silent Night". Today, there was another update to take care of some of the stuttering after the apparel update. It's a bit improved.
