Gear 280+

anyone know where i can find gear 280 and up ? i do all types of missions and i can not find any gear higher than 282,i have seen people with 300

i m guessing you have been playing a shorter time than me if you have not seen gear scores of that hight at least once and yeah i figured the optimization station was the only way to reach those hights but where do i find something above 282 thats about as high as i have been able to find it.

Yeah I'm sure 1000 hours is less than you...
Even if it was less than you, max gear score is 290 or 291 depending on what you're using.
Also, max gear score on a single item is 295 on holsters, the rest caps at 293 for armor and 286 for weapons.
Finally, if you haven't found anything higher than 282, that's just because of RNG because they do drop, they are just rare.

Bottom line is : if you saw 300, the person was cheating.

You just need to play alot to get the best items, i got a 286 M700 carbon from playing resistance, make sure to play with maximum difficulty for best rewards.

I heard people saying you can get to 291 with exotic but I'll admit I'm not sure why as the exotic I have don't get any higher than other weapons/gear that I have.

Just to say that when optimized. I think every classifed set can go to that score.

My actual 291 set :
1 striker
2 sentry
1 reclaimer
1 deadeye
1 solitary

I got 289 with full classified reclaimer not optimized but recalibrated.

No I have a fully optimized D3FNC and it is 290 a friend has the same set but all exotic weapons and his is 291... not sure why, and I have found other oddities between sets.. ie a maxed out mask of one set is higher than a maxed out mask of another.. very odd... maybe the talents used have some effect?
