If you have the spare phoenix credits they make great dtech. Exotics will drop in game and some missions give a weekly exotic cache. The Historian is fun to use, there are some that I look for, none of them ever go on sale though.

DTech is randomly found in the DZ in DTech loot nodes, and is used for blueprints purchased from DZ vendors, and to optimize weapons (to upgrade them).

Dtech is something you want for end game and making the perfect gear... right now you should just collect it up as you are still leveling and all your gear will be outgrown.

When you deconstruct an exotic it gives a Dtech <Division Tech> 100% of the time.

aahh okay yeah I mean the past couple days I have mainly been getting on to do daily missions and try something new. Is there any certain things that would be good to farm? besides world boss routes and DZ routes.

New piers area has Dtech boxes in the resistance maps and the rotating missions give 3 dtech each. Exotic caches have 30ish each.

The liberator (if it has good talents) is a decent Lightweigh M4 variant. Pakhan can be decent too. Thats really it.

If you're starting yes. If you are advanced in the game, better do legendary missions and stuff like that to get exotic boxes wich will give you better stuff. Exotics in that shop are for beginers and aren't very good 90% of the time.

I lke the upgraded Historian in Clinton. But the DPS meter is way off. I have an SVD that I like, but I still can't tell which one is 'better'. Hisstorian has guaranteed Blind and Stagger that helps, but not the huge wrecking headshots crits like some of the others.

Just use whatever fits your playstyle best. The Historian is a good sidearm, but there are of course stronger sidearms if you're looking to do more damage per hit. Not every exotic weapon is the best in its class, at least it used to be like that back in the day.

It is a marksman rifle, not a sidearm.

You can also gain dtech (devision tech) from trashing unwanted yellow/green gear set gear.
but its Rng... so its only now and then you get some dtech from trashing gear.
