+Headshot damage seems to be king theese days... if you can aim that is.
A golden piece of advice however, DPS is not everything.
Personally, for sniper rifles, I want an extended magazine, a scope with the highest zoom available, and higher crit change/damage. For LMGs I found stability mods useful, to make sure that your entire salvo goes on target, also "Rate of fire" and "extended magazine" to get more shots in.
For shotguns I haven't really found a good use case, but I may e overlooking something, I wouldn't call myself an experienced player by any stretch of the imagination. ;)

I think that one dude in the video said we can get stability and accuracy in better places like armor and or weapon talents
