after the new 2.3gb update i had today the game is now unplayable the frame rate is so low now that the game is unplayable before the update the game was playable now we have low frame rates of 5 to 8 and stuttering all over the board plus the audio is now out of sync please ubisoft if your listening fix the issues regarding the frame rates and high ram issues that we been complaining about not making the game worse

Being fair, if he had no problems before the patch and he has them after it, pretty sure it is for the patch.
Also if you check the forums you can see a lot of threads (here and on ubi) with people with stuttering problems, and i saw someone with 1000 hours with this problem too after the patch.
I even saw a review with a lot of hours saying that every patch can break the game for him.
I myself tried the lowest settings and the highest and i had the exact same stuttering problems.
I have been wondering myself if Denuvo has something to do, maybe not but...

Do this makes the game bad? No, just a pain to play (and i enjoyed when it was smooth but i had to leave it); do this make the developers bad? Depends on if it is a mistake or if they did not test it enough (and in this case the "bad" are their bosses).

Also these problems reports are good for everyone as if nobody would do them probably on the next patch the problems would be for more people and with this, they will probably release a fix on the next days.

Anyway that is my opinion.

the issue was with windows 10 im trying to help why people going mad at me for reinstall your computer and find out yourself people like you make me sick all i try to do is help all i get in return is interjestion its a windows 10 problem i cant help that some games dont get along with windows 10 its not my fault nor my pcs

Right, returning to the topic at hand. Why is the game nigh unplayable right now for me on anything but the lowest settings (and stutters some on those as well) as of a patch or 2 ago?
My specs, in case you want to shift the blame:
i7 4790k (which is what gets used up 100%)
GTX 1070
8 gb DDR3 (that never get used up 100%)
Game installed on an SSD drive

I just bought this game to play with a friend and my fps is pretty much unplayable. It was a buttery smooth 60 fps back during the beta and now I'm constantly between 20-40. I5 4690k(OC'd to 4.0), 16gb RAM, R9 390 8gb with a 144hz freesync monitor. I don't expect to slay everything on ultra, but I can't get a consistent fps even on the lowest of the low settings. I think it's safe to assume it's something with one of the newer updates. My friend has a 1070 and can barely stay near 60fps. Please Ubisoft. i WANT to get into this game but 20fps is a forking joke.

It's called the Division. And your specs are awful sorry. Don't expect to play a game like this at decent FPS

I have the game on Uplay and it is so unplayable. I am playing on the same laptop I played when game first launched, using the same drivers as then (since AMD put my APU into legacy products I can't update them any further) but NOW I get so many stutters that I just wanna do ALT+F4. The only thing I changed was going back from Win 10 to Win 7.

When game first launched I played on medium settings with a good and constant FPS. I remember I read somewhere that choppy gameplay was due to AMD Crossfire so I remember disabling it and playing the game just fine after that. I got 105h in March and haven't played since. I DL-ed game 2 days ago and whenever I get in a group and start a mission, somewhere 50% into the mission, stuttering becomes unbearable, all the way till the end of the mission.

None of the solutions I read work so far (Putting Low CPU priority and disabling 1 or 2 CPU cores, resetting the resolution, changing GFX settings in-game, Crossfire On/Off, going back on Realtek HD audio drivers, verifying game, re-installing the game, etc...). I am bound to think that Ubisoft broke the game with all these patches and expansions. I am thinking of going back to Windows 10 and trying the game again.

Really hoping for a solution here. :)

and you wonder why the game runs like ♥♥♥♥. no idea what laptop you run but I doubt you had a crossfire set-up so why on earth would that be turned on in the first place (if thats even possible). your PC/drivers are out of date, this is not a problem with the game, this is on your end.

my pc had reset all the options in game to the opposite to what i put them to innitially so yeah re start and re optimize and now its going awesome

Then don't bother posting comments like this. My PC has AMD Dual Graphics (Crossifre) mode which can be turned on/off. Hundreds of players are affected by this issue, people with much better rigs then mine. It's under Acknowledged Issues here: https://www.reddit.com/r/thedivision/wiki/known_issues

They are aware of a few performance issues on PC that are related to full screen crashed and CPU usage. These issues are under investigation and if you do have issues with them, please visit the technical support forum and provide us with the relevant information.

If you are experiencing PC performance related issues (low or stuttering FPS, high CPU or memory usage, etc) please report it.

Anyway, seems like running both Uplay.exe and TheDivision as admin fixed the problem, no more stuttering or choppy gameplay. Right click (both exe files) > Properties > Compatibility tab > Check "Run as administrator" box > Ok. It also might help deleting everything but "user.bindings" file from My Documents > My Games > Tom Clancy's The Division directory (you will start getting tutorial pop-ups but it's worth a try).

Yes, I just tried logging in on a new laptop which has the 1060m in it and I've had nothing but trouble. Set it to DX 12 and it crashed. It took an eternity to login to the game, you go through one load screen then have to press space bar to go through another. If you alt-tab out of the game it freezes up. I remember this error, you used to have to get back in game and reset it all to full screen because it used to swith to windowed mode. What a mess.
