The problem right now is that skill < Gear. no matter what you say, a 4Alpha with Barret chest all optimized is going to wreck ♥♥♥♥ no matter how good his opponent is, you can take on groups easily enough.
Well thats the point. The DZ is currently set into zones based upon NPC level or difficulty and within those zones there are tiers based upon Gear Score, supposedly. I am Gear Score 243 but when ever I go into the DZ the notice reads GS 201 so I don't know how it really works.
But my thoughts are to remove the GS setting entirely. There would still be the 6 Dark Zone Tiers based upon NPC level and then within those tiers, instances based on kill score.
The whole reason the low tiers are camped is because the PvP players use the less skilled players as food more or less to grind for DZ levels. If they were forced into tiers populated by players just like they are "PvP oriented" then they'd have to fight allot harder and that is what a pure PvP player wants, right? PvP'ers are not gankers are they? All they really want is a level playing field :P
Ecactly! Kill Score is not something you can change, simply by removing something like it is now with Gear Score items.
So with this thought in mind. How many "true PvP'ers" will say "well if I have to fight people at my own skill level and then get killed allot don't I then go back down to a lower tier?" My answer to that is what I am told all the time "get gud" No, once you hit a tier you stay there.
Anyways they started ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ everybody out of the darkzone and started camping the Darkzone entrance.
This made me remember why i stopped going into the darkzone about a year ago. (Last time was sometime in December.)
Now within each tier an instance is created based upon the players GS. These instances are ranked within a GS range. Again this is how I understand it.
Currently if you are GS 189 lets say and you enter DZ 1, you will be in an instane with other people between GS 175 and 190 lets say. Now if you go to DZ 2 the same thing happens and so on. So no matter where you go there will be the same group of people that are very good at PvP preying on the ones that aren't. They simply change their GS builds to alter the GS tier they can enter.
My suggesiton is based on how many actual kills a player has made. Doing it this way when someone reaches say 100 kills and moves from Tier 1 to Tier 2, thats where they stay. The whole point of PvP is to kill another player and in The Division, to steal their loot.
Now, the more a player kills the higher he goes in the Kill Score Tier until all the gankers and all the hackers end up at the top level and they can all happily slaughter each other and get the PvP they all argue over when ever someone that is not very good about it complains
Now all the of the "get gud" crowd and all of the 4 man gank squads can fight people of equal skill, equal gear score and equal mind set. That's what PvP is all about right?
Not good at pvp? Dont do pvp, simple, its not rocket science!
Well if any of the detractors are as good as they think they are, then they'd welcome the challenge I think. The ones that are afrtaid of a change like this are actually just the kind that suck and can only win against players that aren't as 'gud' :)
We all know that any real PvP player loves a challenge, thats why they roam in groups of 4, camp the entrances and giggle like little girls when they kill a solo player.
Yes, that is really PvP....lol
