Immersion request: option to turn-off mini-map/radar detection for my character.
Just an option for hardcore players (not grinders, but those who like challenge).

I would really love an option to turn off my radar in game options. People who need it, can stil use it.

There is a reason behind why Bethesda has only compass in all The Elder Scrolls games.
majority of players look at minimaps 25-50% of the time while playng.

Simple example:

A friend of mine finished The Witcher 3 in about 45 hours. I asked him to play on hardest with no minimap. Was hard for him first few hours, but then he loved every moment of that and he said that most of the time he played games just looking at the minimap going to the set marker.

While he had to look for ways himself he got much more immersion and fun (game was harder too). Now he spent 120 hours on his second playthrough and only about to finish his second playthrough.

Minimap warns you about the danger and you don't need to think about directions. While it may be suitable for some players, those who prefer some more immersion and find games a bit too easy may prefer an option to play without holding their hand on every step of the game.

Please, if possible, let us have an option to turn off the enemy detection system if we want.
Thank you !

Wow man, thank you so much :D Love the Devs for the option too haha
I play no HUD everything that has anti immersion stuff.
THis game is TPP and so it should not show you on screen stuff but anyway, it's ok, it's extremely techno distopic so you supposed to use HUD and I will maybe limit or make it fade away in part.

I saw some videos showing how to do this from the settings of this game and also suggesting how to have a more realistic night effect.

However I wish game design took account of immersion instead to Feed Information that are just for scared people, fearing to lose control. Leaving freedom of choice in options is ok but the game needs to be showing that extra work that devs have done to design the experience for no HUD or immersion players.

Often I have seen down played the "immersion mode" to a very low level experience, "immersion" just being a title used as unfortunately click bait (the only thing is that they make you buy something and create bias so you click to purchase!). The waste of time starts when we have to inform ourselves running through jungles of spoilers and more trash opinions to try to cut through the wall of bias smoke ...

This is a video with tips i found 1 year ago...

I will play witcher 3 with no HUD... i never played it. Yeah.. I mean the story of the minimap is the minimum... just think about games that today ask you to reach every single point with that widget\icon on screen. I don't do that ever anymore...
