You don't need a code anymore.
Make sure uplay is updated and restart your pc.

If that doesn't work, contact support

This is old post of mine that I just dig out and copy pasted:

Here some old quote of mine explaning everything about cd key and possible fixes:

You shouldn't get key because its automatic activation.

If uplay asking for key its a bug.

Possible fixes

1. Log off on uplay and close it and then restart steam.

2. Try setting steam to run as admin.

3. Run game through steam client first

4. Verify game cache

5. Or go to your game folder which you can get to by going to your library right click on game then click properties>Local Files>Browse Local Files and then delete in folder two files:
uplay_install.manifest and uplay_install.state

6. Uninstall Uplay (only uplay) download uplay client from ubisoft and reinstall it.

Mostly older ubisoft games have cd keys available to view on steam but they stopped doing that for more recent games and they started with The Division.

When I pre-ordered The Division I got key in my library like where usually you would find but then they changed that to automatic activation and removed for everyone all cd keys including from me:

http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=960815487

Some people still swear down that you should able to find cd key in there but they never actually checked their own library in a while after switching to automatic activation if they still have cd keys anymore and I bet they don't (or simply using older ubisoft games on steam as exemples that there should be when in fact that only apply's to older games).

After this game there was no more cd keys given for steam owners like for exemple next game that came out was Watch_Dogs 2 and that game was from start automatic activation.

Bottom line is if you are asked for cd key then that is a bug and especially for this game and somehow steam and uplay fail to communicate together which is part of reason why some people fail to activate game on uplay by automatic, if you want to activate game you gotta try one of possible fixes in my old quote.

They might work they might not but you gotta keep trying.

I had this problem too and it was fixed by updating the copy of UPlay that Steam gives you.

1. Go to yourTask Manager and end the Uplay Launcher if it's currently running.
2. Go to Ubisoft's website and download Uplay from there (http://uplay.ubi.com/).
3. Run the new copy of Uplay and it'll update the one on your system
4. Now run the game from Steam and you'll find it won't ask you for a key.
