About this FAMAS + Alpha Bridge thing....

I got a new Bluetooth dongle today and decided to give it a try. It seems faster than the wired connection. It's in a USB 3.1 port and the wired was USB 2.0.

But I digress...

I took my character out to the street to test some precision firing while on the move. That worked great,like I said.

Anywho,the very first hoodie goon I blast drops a FAMAS. Been hunting for one for two days and then a test fire drops it. topkek

It's only a 207 weapon but I don't plan to use it except for emergenies...mag runs dry with a baddie on top of me. Crazy that you can switch guns faster than reloading but aaaanyway.

The 15% damage modifier says accuracy and and stability mods decrease that bonus.
Well,it seems that it doesn't decrease it much if those mods are on the OTHER weapon. hahaha

So my G36 does 19,300 damage per bullet. 23,000ish with a crit. Body shots by the way.
The G36 has a 25% accuracy mod(talent). It also has a 10% damage modifier for headshots.
It's already a super deadly gun.

So I equip the FAMAS as a secondary...step up to the line and fire the G36 and OMFnG...
22,000 damage per bullet to the body and well over 30,000 with a crit. About every 5th round is a crit.

Strictly speaking,the 15% should have boosted the G36 to 22,195.
So the modifiers on the G36 cost me 195 damage per bullet?
Does that seem right?

I see why this may get patched now. WOW.
G36 with almost no recoil. 63 round magazine. Super high damage output.
I can see where this would be an advantage in PvP...but I don't PvP in this particular game.

Modding your G36 with acc/stab will reduce your G36 damage by about -3% from Uncomplicated. Likewise, modding your FAMAS with acc/stab will reduce your FAMAS damage by about -3% from Uncomplicated. He's saying the devs will make it so both weapons will reduce each weapons damage with acc/stab mods, which is fricken silly if that's true. For one, no one actually uses their FAMAS in an AB build and why should one weapon negate the effects of the other? But whatever... Like I said, no one even mods their FAMAS to begin with, so it's not like it matters.

Yeah. I have Accurate,Unforgiving and Deadly on the G36 already.
25% accuracy.
10% more damage missing one bar of health.
25% more damage missing two bars of health.
15% more damage for crits.

The 12% from the FAMAS will be plenty...if I leave it nekkid...which is a non issue...like you said.

What's the point of using a purple weapon - just to get Uncomplicated - considering it gets fixed soon - and more importantly, you lose a 3rd talent just to get it?

You've yet to prove that you can exploit the talent. Meanwhile, everyone and their mother has proven that stab/acc mods DO reduce the damage from Uncomplicated on other weapons. So at the very least, you can provide a link to a dev making the ridiculous claim that they are "fixing" what is not broken. Until then, you can stop talking down to everyone, making the claim that we are all exploiting. Which is exactly what you did in another thread.

I don't need to prove it - there's tons of threads talking about it (on Redidit, in the forums, etc...) - Maybe it's already patched in, but I'm pretty sure they said it would be in 1.6

If you want to see what I'm talking about, just go watch the state of the game about 2-3 weeks ago (maybe longer...)

EDIT: I removed the link, that was the one they screwed up on - so watch the video from after 12/8 where they clarified what they were doing. (I would have thought they'd have updated that link after they made a mistake, but guess not...)

No. I gain a fourth and fifth.
You can't use two weapons simultaneously anyway.

All I use 99% of the time is an assault rifle.
Having the FAMAS on my pack just slaps it's two extra talents on my G36.

And let's face it,if you have a powerful firearms / stamina build,your electronics number disqualifies most of the good talents anyway.

So, you don't need to confirm something is the case before you try to call everyone an exploiter for something they aren't exploiting because the exploit you claim to exist does not exist? Are you serious right now? It takes a fricken minute to go into the shooting range and prove you wrong. Get off of your high horse and test it for yourself before you talk more BS.

After a few missions and a few HVTs,I've decided the 15% damage bump is not as effective as the Predatory talent is on my Liberator. I just don't feel comfortable if my health bar drops any. Feel scared. lol

FAMAS is back in the trunk. Maybe sometime down the road it will be viable but for now...I like my regular set up.

Now...if they ever put Uncomplicated on a marksman rifle,I'd have a true god gun set up. hahaha
650,000 DPS with a 15% bump...yeah baby.

*sigh* No, a normal rifle would have 3 talents - which means you should have 6. Thefore, you're using a talent by using a purple gun.

As you already know, DPS is inflated - you don't have 650,000 DPS. Especially on a marksman rifle...

A) I never said they were exploiters - I said it's an exploit. It may very well be fixed.
B) Not everyone has a FAMAS do they? Duh.

As you already know, DPS is inflated - you don't have 650,000 DPS. Especially on a marksman rifle...

I know that. My marksman rifle does something like 160K per bullet. A 15% buff would be awesome.

As for talents..all the good ones require electronics score. My build is low on electronics so all I get from Alpha Bridge is one or two talents from the secondary anyway.
The FAMAS didn't cost me anything.
Still don't really like it though. I'm back to the Liberator as a secondary and the ONLY talent I get is Predatory. It's in the freebie slot.
So going from FAMAS to Liberator actually cost me a talent. But I prefer the Predatory over both the FAMAS talents combined.

I like the 416 too.
I sold mine and haven't been lucky enough to pick one up as good as I had.
G36 is just a solid weapon though.
