Demo not loading?
Hi, I downloaded the demo to try last night, this morning I tried to start it, and it loads for a few seconds then stops. I dont get a splash screen, I dont get a steam screen, nothing. Just a loading mouse icon for a few seconds (about 10) then back to normal. Ive tried reinstalling the game, verifying the files, restarting my computer and steam. Still the same. Any ideas?

I meet the minimum system specs. Thanks!

Finally found a solution. Apparently you need Uplay and an Ubisoft account.

its not a demo its a public test server that is open in a limited time frame.
the pts server is closed down until the next update (1.7).

Idk if the demo is over yet, but you do need uplay.

Ppl who replied talking about pts are clearly lost. Pts is a test server thats online before major updates so ppl can try it before it launched, devs can tune up their changes and that kind of stuff. Indeed pts is offline atm, but thats not related to the demo once or ever.

So i bet your issue is the lack of uplay installed and running.

Hi Shayle,

I wonder if you try not doing the demo through Steam, but instead go through Uplay directly for it and see if that makes a difference?

why is there a demo available to download and install if it doesn't work?

There is a trial for the game on uplay too, you can play until level 8 for free
