Lag when im playing by myself....

I would like to keep playing this game for the end game content but I keep having to go on hiatus because of lag whilst im playing sp....sometimes its enough to see me killed sometimes ill empty a clip into some poor shmucks face and then 5 sec later theyll die. I would understand if i was teaming with someone on the other side of the world but im by myself. Can someone explain this to me...are the servers in America? Infact if i want to play solo why the hell does it need to have a perminant connection? couldnt it just update whilst in safe zones and then let me play lag free? Does any one else get this issue? Or is it just the combination of NZ being in the arse of the world and having crudy internet? I have an issue with games being released in NZ when the servers for them are in europe or america because they become a chore to pay when trash mobs can kill you due to lag and my bullets ignore space time and physics with ludicrus delays. As far as i can find it's not possible to play this game without it having a perminent connection to the servers.There isnt a way round this is there?

Nope no way around it, im an Aussie player and dont get lag that bad..... could be your connection..? And the game will never be offline since everything is kept sesrver side.

I dont have the best connection in the world but it should well be enough to handle TD. So far only two games that I own lag...poe and TD

Well i guess you just answered your own question...your internet is the problem.....

so out of the 300 games that i own across pc and xbone why shouuld only 2 experience latency issues? if i can play arma3 and bf4 absolutely fine how can it not handle Td? There is far less going on in TD than bf4 especially since i like to play it solo. Whilst I dont have a fiber connection that shouldnt be necessary.Saying I dont have the best connection on earth does not imply that it is sub standard, nor does it realy answer anything. I have issues with poe due to their net code(apparently) so it could be tha TD is similar....but i dont know for sure. Hence the questioning. So why do you think I only experience this with 2 games?(that ive noticed.)

Maybe because the other games you play are on server that are realy close to you e.g NZ Aust...while The Division servers are not.... im guessing your on ADSL ? I just jumped on The Division just then and am getting no lag what so ever.......

so are there no division servers in australisia?(aus\nz) because I think that NZ doesnt actualy do any hosting ....bf4 and arma servers are hosted in Australia(the ones i use with the best ping.)
Yes i do beleve i am using ADSL i cant remember the exact specs its been a while since ive had to remember. I do remember it was the fastest and largest connection possible for where i am. So if there are no TD servers in australasia why the hell not.....being sold a game that depends on a connection to the other hemisphere is dissapointing, but now im curious and i want to know where the servers are.........

so I cant seem to find any option for localiseation....how do I tell where the server is that im connecting to?....and if there is a closer one how do i change to that?
