Advice on effectively using a Shell Trap?
Hello, everyone. I'm still kinda new to this game, and looking to learn the ins and outs of the programs. I know you can use the shells for loading, but I haven't seen how one uses the Trap function visually. I know it can be done to counter /Naix/, but I suck at knowing when to trigger the trap. Any tips?

Run Shell, open Trap, watch Logs. Open Port = trigger Trap.

Okay, got it, watch the logs. But which logs? Home PC? Or if I have multiple shells, which shell?

Shells basically have 2 halves, one that runs on the PC you opened it on, and the other that lets you control it and runs in your program list. You need a shell on your own PC(which you can get by running the shell command while connected to it), then just spam trap and trigger for like 20 seconds, or if you are watching your pc's logs until you see the disconnect log pop up. Fortunately the NPC hackers in this game are not very persistent, so once an attack completes, whether it ends in success or failure, you will not be attacked again until you trigger another one.
