thats probably the only command i didnt enter, but what you gotta do is navigate to someone elses computer, take their x server and put it on yours, then reboot and your computer is back to normal, just more green than usual.

This would be great, but when I looked in the log, there was no record of his ip adress. It starts at the crash report. I tried copying it from a computer other then Naix's, but it tells me that the file doesnt exist.

Use scan then.

you won't get Naix's gateway this way, but you should get another random PC, just copy their x-server.sys file.

Elsarild I tried that. For some reason I can't copy the x-server.sys file at all. I tried it using scan with no luck originally as I mentioned above. I then started a new save and tried using Naix's computer (the log was there this time). Again no luck. I must be missing something because it seems to work fine for everyone else. I can't figure out what is going wrong with it. I even tried copying the x-server file before I got hacked by Naix (It comes up as x-server.sys(1)) and then renaming the file once I got into terminal mode. That didn't work either. It just tells me the file doesn't exist. I know Im typing it in correctly so I'm really lost on this one.

A few things to check:

1. That you're in the sys foldere (cd sys) before trying to rename

2. Use Tab to complete the commands, if you have one called x-server.sys(1) you should be able to just write mv x [tab] and it should auto complete it.

3. Be wary of lower and upper case, the game does differenciate when dealing with files.

4. Remember to reboot afterwards.

Lastly, if possible open a broadcast and I'll see if I can spot an error somewhere.

Found the problem. I was using ls instead of cd. Silly mistake. Thanks for the help troubleshooting Elsarild. :)
