Different x-system.sys Layouts?

When I was first hacked by Naix and he deleted my x-system.sys file, I back-hacked the computer he had hacked me from and used that x-system.sys file to restore my system. If you do that, though, it totally changes the layout of your UI and changes the background picture as well.

I deleted that x-system file and got a new one from somewhere else, and after rebooting, my UI was back to what it originally was, so it seems like there are different layouts to find in the game. Has anyone else found any others?

I downloaded a GOLD-Theme.sys file from a Macrosoft server, but I don't know how to apply it.

There're quite a few nice ones, they're hidden in a few different servers. It's worth being thorough when you're searching about!

Later on in the game you'll get a program that lets you change your theme without the need to reboot your in-game OS.

To apply the gold theme just rename it to x-server.sys, put it in your /sys folder and reboot.

how do you rename your file?

Look through the "Help" pages, if you can't find it the following may help

To rename a file, move it with a new name, for instance, from the directory the GOLD-theme.sys is in use the following command:

mv GOLD-theme.sys x-system.sys

that will rename it, but leave it in your current directory. You may need to move it to /sys

I can't download Naix's system x. It says it doesn't exist within the sys file

Run ls to verify. You're probably trying to scp from the wrong server or you already deleted his x-server file.
