Project Junebug never unlocked

I'm currently on the Bit -- Investigation and I still can't accept project Junebug. I think I need an exe from there to complete this contract so I'll have probably have to restart for the second time. Any way to ensure that project Junebug gets unlocked? Anyone else have this problem?

I got the same and tried to do another CSEC mission and now my ranking has gone back up and Junebug is still locked...

Same problem here - I got to the point in Bit-Investigation where you need to open the medical port. Searching these forums reveals that you need the exe in the Junebug mission to continue.

Yet I cant seem to unlock junebug. I had to abandon Bit - Investigation to clear the rest of the contracts but even that didnt unlock anything. Now I doubt very much I can get back into the Bit Investigation mission which sucks. Basically a game-breaking bug unless we are missing something.

I've hacked the CSEC contract database and tried to modify the contract, change the required rank etc, but that has no effect. There much be some other trigger to open the mission.

You don't have to unlock Junebug to obtain the KBT Port tester; it's just that having the mission unlocked puts you on the right path to obtain it. Just hack into the Medical Records database, find Elliot Whit's file, use the IP to find the Kellis Biotech message board, hack that, get to the asset server, hack that, and get the KBT port tester. Then you can complete Investigation. Though I should note, canceling Investigation means you can't retake it. That's definitely a problem.

If someone could also provide the exact trigger for unlocking Junebug? Completeing all the missions doesnt do it. My ranking is 30/100? There are no missions left to do.

A workaround might be to post the IP of the server with the medical exe on it...

Though I dont know how to get back into the Bit - Investigation mission after abandoning it....



the BIT missions really shouldn't have unlocked for me until I at least did the first "find bit mission". I got the first mission from V and he talked about how I had already helped him, so I imagine that something is out of order. V's email must be set to send you into endgame once you hit the top rank at CSEC, even though you might not have the tools to beat the game (if you didnt get to access/finish Junebug).

Clearly the dev will have to address this

Thanks soniv, got the KBT port tester without the mission. But this time the Bit missions didnt appear. This is the third time I've played though to the same spot in the game.

The game was fun up until I had no clue at all how to to the medical port during the Bit mission. SO I abandoned it and went back and did more missions, now I have done all but Junebug and it is locked. Is there anythign to do? DO I have to start over or is there a fix by hacking the save file or something?

You can still hack that mission but you need to find the IP to the medical server in your save file.

Just finished the game (which has been an awesome journey, by the way!). I also got the V emails (Bit Substatiation, etc.) before unlocking Project Junebug. This meant I could only get the KBT hack for port 104 (Medical) by *magically knowing* the Medical server's IP.

You can't get through Workstation_08's port 104 without the KBT hack, and you need to do this to get the Prometheus login.

The V emails need to start only after you have got the KBT hack, or multiple contracts need to be possible at the same time.

Yeah, I agree with Aimeryan. It just feels like cheating getting the KBT hack without using "outside" knowledge (i.e. forums and guides). I took the first V mission as soon as it was offered. I guess...my mistake...

I managed to hack into the guy's pacemaker and upload a new firmware. I think I killed the guy.. I'm not sure if that was part of the original JuneBug mission or not. Otherwise.. Oops.

I replayed the game though this point and had the same issue. I don't know whether it was that I didn't get the CCC server (1 point rather than 10) but junebug didn't unlock again. This time I had not cancelled the V mission so I was able to use this thread to carry on. Is junebug bugged?
