Accidently deleted file

Soooo,
I was in this "KyonBox" Mission and I got really hectic from the time pressure and I accidently deleted the file instead of copying it :(. So now I am stuck here, because that guy wants that thing, but I can't give it to him because I deleted it xD

Luckily I have never done this, I honestly don't know what you would have to do to fix this. Load an earlier save I would say :)

If you have an earlier save, load that. Otherwise I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but it's time to start over, I don't think you can recover deleted files.

Nah... but you should be able to hack into death row and take one of their inmate files to use as a new template. Just dc afterword, edit it up, and come back a few minutes later to plant it. Preferably clearing your logs both times.

it's possible to get back a file that you accidentally deleted
1- alt-tab when you are in-game so you can see another windows with the windows title bar that finish by hacknet.exe
2 -scroll up until you see HHBS-Foderpath : [there's the folderpath to your computer where the save file is located]
3- go to this folderpath and open the xml file (this your save file and the files in the game)
watch misstyping in this file can corupt your progress
4 - find the file you accidentally deleted in-game
5- copy that file with the xml tag ex: <file name:Kaguya..,, > 10101010101010100100101</file>
6- locate you hacknet computeur in this file and paste what to copied in your home file

that's it a little hack for a hacking game simulation :)

Your advice saved my day. I deleted the SSHCrack.exe file 🤣

I was meant to type scp but I typed in rm instead.
