How to hack a firewall
This may seem like stupid or i'm simply not giving enough attention, but how do you hack the firewall of Viper ?
I managed to open his by using SSHcrack.exe, but after that i still can't access it because the firewall needs to be hacked.
I carefully read through the help pages and the only one that seems useful to me is solve ( port number ), but then it says insufficient characters or numbers.
So my question is, how do i hack the firewall ?

type analyze at the console
Shirakani Aug 13, 2015 @ 6:56am
Type analyze, it will show a bunch of junk... repeat it over and over and most of the junk will become zeroes, leaving one actual live letter.

Take the live letter from each row, in order, and type 'solve <whatever word it makes>' to solve it.

Can't say I like this, need a cooler way :/

Thank you, funny thing is, i tried to copy it multiple times and run it with the solve command. It always resulted in a too many characters. I was typing a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ of code multiple times to no avail. Didn't realize you had to type analyze again to get the actual code. Thank you very much for your help.

I'd just like to add that there will be servers where the solution will be revealed to be a seemingly-random set of letters and numbers. This is normal; it just means the server uses a stronger, safer firewall solution.

I'll keep that in mind, thanks for the heads up.
the Kraken code is not working please help.

after doing about 7 analyze commands, each row should have 1 non-zero character, if it has none then that character is a 0.
Read the characters top to bottom.

use the analyze command in the console area. No program required.

every firewall will have a different code. The length of the code determines analyze speed. "ThisIsAPassword" would need 15 passes (or, 15 uses of analyze) to reveal the full code, "Derp" would need 4. Some codes are easier than others, and can be outright guessed (like the CFC code) with only a few letters, because they're a word. Others are randomized jumbles of letters and words. it's worth noting, also, that the more passes you have to do, the longer a single analyze will take the further down in passes you go- on pass 10, it'll take much longer than pass 2.

Starting an analyze is considered hostile to a server, and if they have the ability to trace you, it will start here. Expect it late-game on everything.
Visual example:

n1md
e69l
hr7p
q1pn
--
go to console and type "analyze" (trace will start):
Analysis first pass
----------------------------------------
000D
e690
hr70
q1p0
--
go to console and type "analyze" (alternatively, you can press arrow up to go back to the last command you input. doing this really saves time.)
Analysis pass 2
----------------------------------------
000D
E000
hr00
q1P0
--
Repeat step one until you get something like this:
000D
E000
0R00
00P0
then type "Solve derp"

In most cases you can save this password, as it won't get changed. If you have to reconnect, you can just Solve the password back in. if you put in the password after you DC and RC, a trace will not begin as the server considers your connection "legit." You can then proceed at your leisure. in the later areas there are local admins that will close ports, reset proxies, and change firewall solutions if you DC. in some cases you will also be able to find these solutions in emails, so it's worth poking around in stuff you've already compromised that are linked to the server, or getting people's names and email accounts from readable/DL'd files on connected servers.

Why is it like this?

You can also get a combination of 0's in a row. Then replace the letter with a 0. I got a code with a row of 0s. The letters by themselves did not work. So I tried adding that zero and it worked.

Assuming there will be an influx of new players, I'd just like to add there may be times where it seems impossible to crack the password in the time you have. In those instances you may need to actually find the password on another system, but it's pretty rare. Also, you can sometimes solve with a guess if you see a pattern in the letters you've already revealed, which can save a little time to get in, erase logs, then get out and reconnect completely clean.

I kind of like this method personally, just because it's one of the only things you have to do manually.

So what they're saying is this. Lets say we have this:

0 0 0 G 0 0 0 I
0 T 0 0 0 0 0 0

Read this from left to right, then go down another row and continue. In this case we have G - I - T, or GIT. Then you'll
solve GIT
and you'll gain access.
