If you deleted all the files in the directory, you'll probably have to start over since there is no way to recover the deleted files.

1) delete everything in your own Notes.txt
2) Add a new note and only enter 'John Stalvern' (without quotes)
3) Get admin access to the academic database
4) cd to /academic_data/entry_cache
5) upload home/Notes.txt
6) mv Notes.txt john_stalvern
7) Use the academic portal app to add the old degree...
> Masters in Digital Marketing
> Manchester University
> 3.3
8) Add the new one as well

Please! Just hack into it. Disconnect, then get in again, search for the guy, add a degree with the correct specifications and leave it just like that, with two degrees. Then you should be fine

How do you even edit that file? I can't type anywhere?
This has got to be the longest time I took to edit a file on a semi-unix system...

Steps I took:
  1. rm john_stalvern
  2. scp jacob<tab>
  3. dc
  4. replace /home/jacob<tab> "jacob<some name>" "John Stalvern"
  5. replace /home/jacob<tab> "<that uni in aussieland> "Manchester University"
  6. replace /home/jacob<tab> "<that degree from jacob> "Masters in Digital Security"
  7. replace /home/jacob<tab> "<that GPA jacob had> "3.0"
  8. mv jacob<tab> john_stalvern
  9. hack lame server again with the easiest firewall password ever
  10. cd ac<tab>/e<tab>
  11. upload ja<tab>
  12. dc
  13. added old degree... Because somehow the system now works?

It's easier than that, hack the site, steal the admin password from the text file, dc, login as admin, use the system to add the degree, and delete the logs.

when i add that way nothing saves?

Me too ^
I'm going to try the replacing the whole record method.

[edit]
That didn't work, either by "append" or "replace" or by wholesale overwriting the record. Although the changes did stick this time - when search the database I find him with his two degrees. But replying to the mission e-mail, gets me "mission incomplete" stripe.
