2.1 + ARB?
The system requirements state "OpenGL 3.0+ (2.1 with ARB extensions acceptable)." I've updated my video card and OpenGL is up to 2.1, and there are ARB extensions, but I don't know what ARB extensions are necessary or even what that means, really. I also updated the net framework and all that by running the stuff in commonredist. Anyone know why the game still won't run? I did try the d3d9 fix posted elsewhere and though it does at least technically open the game it's too slow to be playable in any way.

OpenGL 2.1 +ARB is a very big gamble to take as I tried running it on my Old Geforce 9800 GTX+ and it was a No Go.

So for now assume OpenGL 3.0 is the absolute minimum graphics specification, since that version was the start of the programmable pipeline (Shaders) in OpenGL.
So if your using Geforce chips it has to be at least a 210 GPU.

Yeah that makes sense... have since upgraded and I'll have to give it another try in the future. Thanks for the response.
