Game in small window (top left) even when on fullscreen
Trust me, I've tried changing the game's resulutions and have been able to get it to be fullscreen, but here is the thing. When in fullscreen (or windowed) it is stuck in my top left corner, and the game is playable, but I am killing my back leaning into my screen. I do not think it is a driver issue. The main issue is that it THINKS that it is in fullscreen, and the ingame settings do not help.
Please, this is an issue for other people on games aswell. Please tell me how to fix it if you know.

I am on windows 8.

Sorry, I could not find anything called XNA Branche. I searched it up on google. Could you refer me to it?

here is the original statement of the developer:
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Run in XNA Mode (Windows Only)
Hacknet also comes with the option to run the game from the XNA framework, which will work on some graphics card that the base game doesn't boot with (older Nvidia cards especially). XNA Hacknet requires a different set of files, so you'll need to activate the XNA Branch on steam.

Right click Hacknet's name in your library list, click Properties and go to the Betas tab.
Enter the beta password hacknetxnabranch and click Check Code. It should add the Hacknet XNA Branch to the drop down list above - select it.

After downloading the XNA build files, you should be good to go. It it doesn't run, with an XNA error, navigate to this file:

C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\Hacknet\_CommonRedist\XNA\4.0\xnafx40_redist.msi

and run it. The repair option should do the trick.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
i hope this helps you since i never tried the XNA branch and never refered to it before.

It could be an issue with aspect ratios?

What GPU have you got?

Thanks for the help RainShatter.
This can happen if you are running on a computer that has Windows magnification turned on under the FNA branch. Can you try disabling magnification to confirm that's the problem?

I'm hoping the next update will fix this, as it comes with SDL2 and FNA updates, but i'm not 100% sure.

For me, moving to the XNA branch fixed it, but that might not work for some people.

Same problem here. I've tried XNA Mode and turned off magnification option but it crushed immediately on startup. It works fine on windows 7 but got this issue when I updated to windows 10. Really like this game though :(

Yeah, sadly the XNA didn't work for me. I can wait until the next update. Thanks for the help.

I was given access to the DRM free version via Humble, same issue. Windows 10 - GeForce GTX 1070. Obviously I'm not going to have any access to the XNA branch :(

Not sure if anyone checks this or not but you should be able to fix this issue by changing the DPI settings.

You can do that by going to the directory \steamapps\common\Hacknet and right-click the Hacknet.exe file and select properties. Under the compatibility tab, go to "Change high DPI settings" and check the "Override high DPI..." box near the bottom. select OK and apply.

You should be able to open it and change the resolution to what ever works best.

Hope it helps!
