Quick question, how do you open a file?

I know how to navigate to the directory, but I would usually type the filename and it would open but this game is different.

The program/utlity to read a file as-is is

cat

Technically it stands for conCATinate, or append.
If you read any UNIX primer, you'll see a lot of similarities.

I was sorta just lost in the task, I wasn't very far to begin with so I wanted a fresh start.
