Can't delete SecurityTracer.exe

I'm trying to get through the tutorial, but I'm stuck.

I got the email saying to delete SecurityTracer.exe, but despite inputting every variation of the command, I can't do it. What should I be doing?

Did you do it by using the command: rm securitytracer.exe ?
I suggest you move it to somewhere using the mv command, it could be useful later...

Yes, and I keep getting messages saying 'file not found'

Well if you're stuck on the tutorial you can try to kill the tutorial application itself.
You write "ps" find the id number of the tutorial app and then write "kill [id]"
That's the sort of speedrun strat that gives an achievement, but if you're stuck it should help you too.

Concidering I still have no idea how to play this game, that may not be wise.

hmm.. if you are still at the tutorial, you might try restarting the session, there might be some kind of bug

Did you find the file you were asked to? I think the command only works if you are in the correct folder.

Delete it by:

1. Disconnect from anything first, type

dc

2. Connect to your computer by clicking the green circle on the map below your screen

3. go to your /bin directory
Either by terminal,

ls
cd bin 

or by navigating using the UI
View Filesystem --> /bin

4. Type

 rm SecurityTracer.exe 

5. Finish the quest/task by replying (anything) to the email.

Old post I know but thought I would add for the browsers!..
Turns out that the tutorial, as I have just discovered, "needs rm *" rather than rm securitytracer.exe.
I assume this is because of the steps previously and that it had not 'taught' the full command prompt yet
