I have scp'd this exe many time and tbh I am certain the game is bugged ....regardless of what password I use I simply cannot decrypt any .dec file

I have spent 2 hours+ searching the web for valid passwords for known files to complete missions and for the clock but none of them work.

I refuse to start from the beginning again just to sort another bug.

Dev please for the love of code FIX THESE BUGS

I've had to restart 3 times to get over other bugs and you tell me there is no active dev on HN!!



Ghosting the Vault:

1, Hack "CSEC Crossroads Server".
2, Download "encrypt_source.dec" at /home.
3, Hack "DEC Solutions Web Server".
4, Scan network.
5, Hack "DEC Solutions Mainframe".
6, Download "Decypher.exe" at /Staff/A.Carey.
7, Connect to your main PC, then go to /home.
8, Decrypt "encrypt_source.dec".
9, Upload "encrypt_source.cs" to CSEC Public File Drop".

So I tried to open this in Linux thinking ...yea I'd be on the same game save.
NOPE try again busta, this game uses a different save each time you play it on a different platform, unlike nearly all the games I have.


This is beginning to irk me, I really enjoyed this game but if I have to keep restarting to workaround a bug the dev would rather ignore I may as well not bother wasting time.

i´ll try to recreate the bug, and i can assure you we worked hard on getting all bugs out of the game but sicne the dev finished the work on the dlc and started working ona new project i heared that player encountered bugs they shouldnt be able to encounter, i had several times where the dev checked the whole game and he found nothing on the final version..

Thanks for making me aware of this tool for game saves.

I have only ever played this on Windows, I've only recent decided to try to play on Linux after having the in-game issue mentioned in my initial post.

I'll not be playing this until the decypher program works without me having to restart the entire game. I've had to do that twice already just to work around obvious bugs which they seem to think don't exist or could not care about.

If I've not played in a few month I'll ask for a refund and remove the game and update my review.

That save has only ever seen windows.
I've only just discovered the location of game saves on linux so I'm not sure why it's show you it was created on linux.

I know this is all very interesting but I just want the game to work so I can continue enjoying it.

Does anyone have any clue at all why the decypher.exe in game is not working for me?

I made a better native save patcher, just drag a save onto the .exe and you'll get generated saves that work on each platform. You'll need to use it again if you want to switch to another platform after playing for a bit.
