Should i get this game?
Was wondering if anyone had a chance to play this game, and how well they would rate it? Also would like to know if this is "noob friendly" or do you need to know a lot about hacking?

Played it several times over. 8/10, bit too short for my tastes. And it explains the basics fairly well, though you'll need to understand that this is essentially a puzzle game. You'll need to read a lot, and carefully. There's always a way forward... somewhere.

Fun and interesting with plenty of easter eggs and such. If you like puzzle games with IT feeling, definately must buy. Also you can learn a thing or two about networks, computers etc.

Also, you don't need to know anything about hacking. I went into the game with no experience, I could barely use command prompt, and I still did fine.

The game is worth getting. It is not only fun, but you learn a bit about; Linux, Networks, and Computer security.

You are not a real hacker in this game, more like a script kiddie.

Sorry I couldn't respond earlier, had a busy day. But yes, get it. It's a good game (don't play at airports, just to be safe) and well worth the price.

Having knowledge of system structure is about the only thing you NEED to understand to start. Saving, copying and moving files is basically what you'll do, just get used to keyboard commands and less clicking.

The reviews should tell you all you need to know, it's very much story based and (mostly) linear, so not really a sandbox kinda hack (i.e. Uplink or hackmud). That doesn't mean you can't play around with the servers you hack into though. If you're on the fence I think you would enjoy it, plus some new content (including multiplayer missions) should be coming soon-ish, which is making currrent fans anxious here.
