Turning off hexclock.exe?
Yeah this kind of sucked.

I found hexclock.exe and decided to run it. It brought up the funny hexclock on the side and took up some RAM! It also changed the color of the entire program to a group of changing colors that's for some reason making me sick ( and I have no idea why, I'm not colorblind and this has never been an issue before for me and colors. ).

I thought it was such a neat smart little joke, especially as I /ps and then /killed the application.

Except the colors stayed changed.

I googled how to change display/theme and got major endgame beats spoiled for me in the process off titles. That's a bummer. Nobody really has any answer on how to change the display back however. The best I can tell is I need to go grab themechanger.exe from a later server and use that to change the display to something new?

I can't play the game that long at this point. It makes me sick to my stomach trying to advance with the colors the way they are. There has to be a sneaky way to just revert it back to normal.

Leave the game and re-open it...

Well that's an easier fix then I was expecting.

Yeah, not exactly intuitive per se, but it makes it easier.
Happy hacking!

You could also reboot.

Azure Zero May 25, 2017 @ 7:58pm
you use the ps and kill command to terminate the hexclock

OP wants to revert hexclock's colour change, killing it won't do it

I mean, it would work in a totally unnecessary and overcomplicated way...

i believe hex clock sets the three primary colors (outlines, text, icons) of your interface by the time lol
hhmmss -> RRGGBB, BBRRGG, GGBBRR I guess

>reboot
to reset it

Solved.

So... I just started pretty much. This won't spoil much unless you aren't a couple hours in, and even then it's tiny but here it is:

Something happens early on where your UI is 'adjusted'.

Luckily, I had already been a pack rat.

You can replace one of the sys files with similar files to change your UI. In my case, even renaming some L_E****.sys I'd grabbed off some other system to the same name as my original worked. Pretty neat.
