How does a game like this not have an easy to find way to start a match versus a friend? I don't even care about playing the game vs randoms with quick match, it's so slow the only way I can see myself enjoying this is with a friend so we can both schedule the time to play at a reasonable speed
I don't want to spend hours waiting for random opponents to take their turns
I know right? I think the developers may have removed the multiplayer option because my friend and I played this game vs each other once. Now I can't find a way to play against him two years later.
I ask myself if there only us who play the game or the matchmaking is maybe broken
On the right side there's a notifications box, there's a button that says "Who's online"
Use that and you get a list of anyone who owns the game and has connected to steam with it, even if they aren't currently online, and it tells you when they last connected. When you select any of the people in the list there is a challenge button
RaiderNation appears to be the only really active player. He has 786 wins (you can view the win/loss record of anyone in the list)
The vast majority of players have 0 wins. Basically from what I can tell of the list, new people connect, no ones looking for a game other than RaiderNation and he just wins when everyone gives up and doesn't feel like waiting days to take a turn. He's ranked number 1 in the world.
For a sense of how few people play this game, number 10 has only ever played 17 games.
In the list you are the second most active player in the world rankings, ranked at 14th. You would be higher but the people higher than you have far fewer games played, rankings are by ratio. The 2nd highest rank in the world has only played 7 games, but he won most of them.
Yea I guess I can call this game dead...
