Possible to take photos with light?

I'm in the doctor's office, trying to take a photo of the bloody pillow, and it's dark in the office with no way to illuminate it, and there's no camera flash, and I have a flashlight but I have to put it away to take the picture for some reason, so I'm just putting a big black square into my journal.

I know I'm allowed to continue the game with this "evidence", but I'd prefer to take photos that are actually visible. Is this possible?

There is a lantern hanging from a post next to the patient's bed.

Thank you @athenah19 this doesn't solve the more general issue of taking photos in dark places, but in this one case it helped.
