Blue Ice

What's the deal with the blue ice? I'm always prompted to take out my camera when I'm near some but taking a picture of it doesn't seem to do anything.

Yeah, but I never did figure out what the point of it was, or why the game seemed to keep prompting me to photograph it.

My only guess, is that it's out of the ordinary, which when you get to the end and see what comes out of it, makes it more obvious. Like maybe those blue ice areas are things waiting to come out like they do later on.

Not as far as I know. I took loads and nothing happened

It should show you foot steps and stuff to lead you in the right direction.

That's not really cool that you take photos of the blue ice for absolutely no reason. And I mean more than just an achievement. It should absolutely count towards something of substance.
