Ice Cave and Warm Clothes

I am trying to explore the ice cave but I keep dying. I already did the quest to get the warmer jacket but I don't see a way to equip it, I assumed he just put it on. Am I missing something?

I'm guessing you need something else, I haven't got that far yet, but I have just got the jacket and the character does put it on when you first get it.

If you traded and picked up the jacket it should get on automatically. At least that's how it happened to me. You'll see character wearing gloves, new shoes etc...

So yeah I did that, but when I go into the ice cave it says I am not wearing warm clothes and I die instantly

Sounds like a bug, if you can see character wearing winter clothes. I almost missed the part that you have to take the jacket from the table manually. Thou even with winter clothes I had to setup a fire later in the cave, but if you die instantly something must be wrong.

Yeah I saw him take the clothes and I went back and checked again and they're not there. I've tried 3 times now to go through the cave and I die within seconds from being too cold and told I dont have the right clothes

This may not be much a help, but I went to cave when I had explored most of the houses. I do not know could it have something to do with timeline/order things must be done. Hopefully it's just that, but yeah, could be a bug too. I wish you'll get it "fixed" just by playing a bit.

I followed a tutorial and have been to all the houses and cabins first. :(

Go back to Old Rosaire's House and make sure he's not still holding the coat. Once you give him the bottle of Caribou he picks it up but holds on to it. You then have click on the coat to action the swap. When you get the map out can you see gloves on the hands? Sorry if I'm repeating what's already been said.

thank you I went back to his house and he still had the coat. It's so weird because I took it from him. but I didn't see the gloves on my hands. This time I did. Thanks!

Because after you check 3 vision in ice wall and then you back again, they still left
Only 1 in ice cave but need the coat
