Played only the Early Access version extensively.
PS: loading is intermitent between 'zones'. I think it's disk related because on my mac 2016 (crazy fast 900mB/sec read/write performance), the load time were notieable but nothing horirlbe (maybe 5 seconds at the very most)
Here are some setting changes that can help with motion sickness:
Right before the final scene - can't bring myself to finish the game because it's too enjoyable, I don't want it to end and there's still lots to find... definitely not because of apathy or boredom. Love the game, can't wait for the sequel (s?)
Long version:
After 7 & a bit hours I'm very close to finishing my first play-through.
I'm deliberately trying to take my time because the experience is too enjoyable to be rushed & I'm the sort of person who likes to take a good story completely on board & really feel like I know it
(though I'm shocked at how much stuff I've missed considering I thought I was being quite thorough for a first run!)
Now that I'm looking down the barrel of the last scene however, I find myself not wanting the game to end.... at least not before there's a sequel ready to walk into!
So instead of finishing the game I'm going back to start again & really seriously figure things out this time... I mean sit there with a real pen & paper and see if my sleuthing can paint a bigger picture of the game world & its inhabitants.
This time I want every photo, every journal entry, every achievement, every last tiny scrap of detail there is to be had.
With so much information available that's superfluous to the central plot I feel like this game portrays something much broader than we actually get to see - a world with complex relationships, thoughts, agendas & motivations - a real living story (ironically about people who are dead!) and plausible flesh given to all of it... icy... blue... plausible... flesh!
That's some depth right there!
So that's why you wont be seeing me finishing the game for a while. I'm too busy building the rest of the world in my head! Looking forward to a sequel so I can build on the other side of the river!
@Jean-Francois Fiset... Brilliant bit of storytelling!. Congrats to you & your team on a great game and an unusually positive Steam forum - all very rare stuff these days!
Kona wants you to check the map and Carl's collected documents and journal on a regular basis. I think people got bored of this after a while and decided not to finish the story.
