How do you play this 2 players

It only lets me use the controller and keyboard and my friend doesn't get to use anything

Select Players 2 on the main screen. I think you have to do both on keyboard or both on controller. I haven't looked at it in ages so I'm not 100%.

Nevermind, I just tested it. You just pick 2 players from the main screen then hit story mode. You can do controllers or keyboard or both.
