what is this even about

your play as a person who is afraid of spiders and girls - Like life crippling phobia who can't even leave apartment. So you play video games and then go to bed and have a dream where you run and gun your way through a dungeon full of giant monster spiders and mutant zombie women which somehow cures you of your phobia, and you are now able to talk to women and face spiders after you wake up.

If that doesn't make sense, well it's because it doesn't. I find it to be a really dumb premise. It made me go, serious! That's what this game is about, that is how your phobia is resolved. I guess I would have to actually have a phobia of girls and spiders to relate, but I still think this is dumb.

what kind of arsenal you can have?

The game is very short. Like you can clear it in less than an hour. Your weapons are knife, pistol and a M14 looking assault rifle. That is it. It is a very, very basic fps shooter. A bit difficult but doesn't throw anything you haven't seen before. We are talking the most basic zombie shooter here.

Before you ask how is it a bit difficult. The zombie women are quite fast and can take large chucks of your health away ( 20 to 25% of health in a single hit) Plus, the game has a habit of throwing between 3-10 of them at you at a time, and from multiple directions. Headshots are the only way to take them down quickly, otherwise it seems to take an entire magazine to kill just one. (Though the knife works wonders, but do expect some damage.) Also, heath items are a bit scarce, and since there is no manual save - dying means starting a stage from the very beginning.

Also, if you hate campers, (you know that type of player that hides behind corners in multiplayer) they ya, most of the enemies in this game are campers. Waiting just around a corner to pounce you.

All in all on a difficulty score of 1 out of 10 (1 being stupid easy and 10 being Dark Souls hard) I would give this game a 5 or a 6, somewhere in there. I died around seven times, I think, in a game that takes only around 30 minutes to complete.

Would I recommend this game? No. Maybe if it was free, and you were really bored and seriously didn't have a better game to play. (Come on, this is steam) Otherwise, the only other reason to play this is because you just really had to experience the bizarre but bad experience that was Gynophobia for yourself.
