Nope, unfortunately not... We keep on waiting and lobbying with Steam to release Lost Missions add-on, as well as the awesomes Klingon Academy and Bridge Commander ! Word is, it's on their publishing plans, but not a clue about when.

This needs to happen. Who in the Steam community does one need to speak with to talk to them about getting this add on? I mean, where they've half released it, given that you have rotational directions and on-screen ship shields display (which was included with Chekov's Lost Missions Update). But the extra missions would be a nice addition as well.

It's not Valve's decision at all. If they can do it, they WILL release those games.

But, they need to be able to legally do so. That means, whoever would re-publish the games would need to get all the licensing-problems out of the way, and that's the actual problem, especially if there's a brand like Star Trek involved. There usually are many parties involved in such cases.

Sure it's in their interest to get that dead capital back to life somehow too, but often they just don't care or remember (I'm looking at Activision). Or companies don't exist anymore, like Interplay, and the rights went to whoever or just expired and need to be negotiated again with CBS which also takes ages.

And in some cases, as Homeworld Remastered, you can't recover every sourcecode. Remastered includes the original two games and their remastered versions, but the expansion to HW2 is not there because the original sourcecode couldn't be recovered.

Interplay still do exists and they are coming back on the right track slowly. You can thank GOG, it's thanks to them that we can find and play those gems on both GOG and Steam.

GOG do nothing. They just bundle old games with DOSBOX. Everyone can do it himself.

Apparently Interplay can't even do that because Steam versions are all the same as GOG versions. Also I thought that you were rather concerned about licensing stuff, and that's when GOG comes in. They travel across the world to find out who has which lincence/deal and what is possible to sort out so they can release it etc. Actually, Interplay benefits on their work.
