Windows 10 making older games, this included, purple

The colors are horrificallly messed up... I have the latest drivers and all, it's all fresh install, capabilities imagined for Starfleet when the game came out, but, can't play it like this. I can't be the only one with this problem, but, can't find anyone else talking about it (other than outside of Steam, using compatibility mode - but, I REALLY don't want to try running some new games as if through XP).

I only have the gog version an no problems (on Win10 with a GTX 1050).

Things you can try.
Go in to the game dir.
Try starting the sfa3d.exe without steam (I think steam uses the software mode sfa.exe).

Try changing the sfa3d.exe to windows xp compatibility mode.

If that doesn't work download dgVodoo2.
And use it's DirectX emulation mode.
