I don't know. Depending on how big it is and how many changes they make to the core gameplay it'll either be DLC like Port Eternity was or a brand new game.

Hope it comes as standard with anyone who bought the premium version. After all this time waiting I'd feel it's a bit of an insult if they demand more money for it.

Well if Transcendence 1 is anything to go by then Transcendence 2 should be released sometime around 2050. XD

(Transcendence has been in development since around 1999.)
