Can you profit in arena?

So between expansions, I obviously want to save up as much gold as I can (As to already have 3000 for the chapters, or a signicant amount for packs, depending on the nature of the expansion) so what I am wondering is, is it viable to spend the 150 gold for versus arena (Or solo) and get a reward of more than 150 gold (I have looked online, and haven't found a reliable answer as to what the rewards for arena is)

The amount you get in both arenas varies each time and depends on the amount of wins you gain. In my personal experience, as long as you win 3 games, you tend to get at least the same amount in return (usually in the form of gems/gold/packs) as what it cost to buy a ticket for either arena. But there isn't any hard evidence on how much is actually given out compare to the organize weekend events that they do. Hope this helps in some way.

I'm pretty sure there is no break even point for straight gold in the arenas. For me (VS rank 7) five wins gets me two packs and a good amount of gold/gems. I actually resign from arenas at this point since I don't feel like advancing.

If you looking to just amass gold for a while I would settle with using the few tickets you get from the daily logins. That will score you a few packs now and again as well as a little gold.

You can't do infinite Arena runs in Legends like you can in HS, but you do get a break even point around 3 wins for your investment. I think even at a full 7 wins in VS Arena (you get less rewards in Solo, about 5 or 6 "breaks even" IIRC) you don't get 150g back, but you do get a load of gems and some packs. That makes the investment pay off triple or so.

Basically if you want to farm gold you have to farm Casual/Ranked wins. You can get 10x the 3 win reward per day IIRC, so about 150-500g with a heavy weighting towards 150-200g. That and your Daily Quest (and Twitch Drops) is about all you can do.

I see, so to break down what has been said

There doesn't seem to be a fully made reward tables, where someone has charted out the possible rewards (Maybe if I have the time I will try and create a graph, at least with whatever info I have)

Although obviously the gold to reward ratio is profitable, you don't profit actually profit with gold specifically.

And ultimately the only real way to farm gold would be to just play the game and gather it naturally, plus whatever twitch gives you.


Okay so while typing this, I did another search for images specifically and came across this

Which does seem to suggest you can profit on arena. Plus given that there is a promotion bonus, I am left to assume this person didn't get this rank 1...

So I am only left to assume that although mostly valuble information, some of what has been said here may not be entirely accurate. I don't know, there seems to be a general lack of information everywhere regarding this game, I think I may need to do some expirementing, and just see what happens. Appreciate everyone trying to help. If I do end up just expirementing, I will post whatever I find in a spreadsheet.

I did reach seven wins in solo arena (never been able to in vs arena) but I never got the extra gold (155 pieces) or card as shown in the picture. I did get a bunch of gems and 3 booster packs. You do get rewards but I think varies from person to person as well as where you on the rank levels. Plus, everytime they release a expansion (if I remember correctly, I could be wrong on this) they reset your arena rank (both modes). But like say, there isn't any hard concrete data and bethesda/dire wolf are keeping their lips seal. I do wish you luck on trying to create a graph or chart for this. Cheers!

It's a range of rewards for wins, you don't always get 155 gold for winning 7 games (and the other 50g is a one off for ranking up). The gold and gems rewarded varies, and I think the packs/cards do too (you can get more straight cards and less packs, f. ex.) What getting more wins does is just get you a better "tier" of rewards, basically. There are no set numbers for what you get for 7 wins at Rank 1 vs 7 wins at Rank 3 or anything like that.

Does it matter though? You want to win more since more wins equals more rewards. Because you're winning you'll rank up, and ranking up also gives you more rewards. Basically you just want to get 7 wins all the time for the biggest reward.

Obviously? But I am trying to figure out if it is worth spending 150 gold on. Obviously it is more value for your money, but I was wondering what the exact rewards would be.

I mean, I wont always get 7 wins, so is it only worth it if I do, is there a drop off point from it not being worth it, to suddenly being worth it, if so what number of wins would that be ect.

No, like earlier posts said (including one of mine) the break even point is about 3 wins. I think it's between 2 and 3 (2 is a loss, 3 is a gain) for Vs. Arena. Basically aim to not have a completely terrible run and you'll turn a profit. It's about 5 wins for Solo Arena, btw. If you're still looking for pure gold, you'll need 7 wins (in Vs. only) and a prayer to RNGesus.
